Latest update on Cole. He's breathing completely on his own. He's off the ventilator and no longer intubated. They expect to remove his catheter today and have orders to remove the bolt. He's using a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) for breathing therapy and has a feeding tube which may be removed later today. Tom just told me that he's no longer considered in a coma state but he is sedated for pain. He continues to move around, open his eyes and try to tear off anything non-human attached to his body. He even had a thumb war with Mauri and won. Cole is definitely the man.

  4. Cole, our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. We ask Him that you will continue to improve and that He will bless you and your family with His strength. We met you in Washington when you came here for a race. Mason and Brae are our grandsons. You may not remember us, but we remember you. We were so impressed by your character and the fact that you knew everyone. Get well very soon.

  7. Tom and Rhonda, we want you to know your family is with you. Aunt Ruby, Rick, Stephen and Paul and I are here if you need anything. As always I am in awe of your strength and faith but I don't really know why that surprises me as you are Aunt Mary's children.
We love you, Lisa Lynn and company
